Ok, I tried posting in TAO and was shut down, so I'll try again here!

I've been wanting to try some different herbal teas (all I've had is chamomile). I was wondering what different types you would recommend. Also, how do you drink yours? Just the tea, or do you add anything, like milk? TIA!

My favorite is the decaf ginger peach from "Republic of Tea"

In the finding your tribe section there is a tea lovers section. You can learn quite a bit if you hang out there. One of my favorites is celestial seasons almond sunset, with milk.

My favorites are Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice (tastes like Chai, but is all herbal), served with a little milk or without, and Ginsing Ginger (not sure what brand - I get that one from my local coffee shop), which is really spicy and quite nice, without milk.

You are very welcome Melanie! I have recently learned how to properly brew loose tea, & I'm addicted! I was using one of these spoon thingies that has holes in it. I was loosing half of my tea in the cup & it wasn't very pleasent to drink with leaves ending up in my mouth. Most of the teas are available from the bulk section of your HF store (or Frontier). I did however get many of them from a herbalist, but since seeing her have noticed them athe the HFS. So far I've had & like lemongrass, cammomile, jasmine, roobos with cinnamon, lavander, A blend of rosehips, juniper berries cammomile, & hibiscus flowers. Most of them I drink plain or with a touch of honey! It's fun to mix your own blends!

I think this is actually a decaf black tea...not herbal. I love the ginger peach too.

Haven't tried Cha-Cha, but would like to. I love lemongrass. I've recently learned that peppermint tea can slow milk production...as well as sage tea, so if you're nursing, steer clear. We love the vanilla rooibos. Yum!

I love...

Celestial Seasonings
Sleepytime
Tension Tamer (esp. the citrus mint)

Traditional Medicinals
Ginger Aide (I think that's the name?)
Red Raspberry Leaf
Mother's Milk -right now I'm constantly drinking this one
Echinacea and the Throat Coat when I am sick.

I also buy bulk herbs - or grow them in the summer - and make my own blends - I like Nettle with RRL and mint. It is pretty earthy, but yummy.

I like my teas (herbal, green, black) plain - no milk or sweetener - except sometimes the medicinal ones are very bitter and need a little honey. I like my coffee the same way

I'm gonna check out the tea lovers group too!
