Yup, I've got 'em...They began appearing last monday or so, and already have spread to about 6 or seven thin lines on my lower belly. I keep having the urge to check them, but I don't let myself for fear of stretching my skin even more. I think I can actually feel my skin ripping little by little.

I thought I would be more upset than I am. I was hoping they would not come(of course), but my little man is much more important that some stretch marks.

Anyone else?

I had almost none with DD1 and now I have a LOT. At first it bugged me but in the whole scheme of things they are really not a big deal to me at ALL. It's not like I was a bikini model before this.

I never wore a bikini so I'll be okay with whatever. I always get a bit sad, though, when I notice changes like grey hair or a new wrinkle or when I break a bone. Not because I mind getting older, but because I can't go back to an earlier time when my body was as it was at birth. It's an odd sentiment probably. I don't harp on it though; I feel some sadness and then keep trucking along. =)

I have them, Lots!! I started getting them about 3 weeks ago, I tried the creams, silicone, and even shark cartilage but nothing is working. Instead of being sad DH took pictures of them, so we can remember exactly how they look and remind myself in several years when i think they are ugly- just how something so amazing gave them to me.

Mine came when I was preggo with DD1.... they grew longer and formed shapes with DD2... and now they've officially taken on the "road map" look.

Luckily, I was over it three years ago... :LOL

I hope you ladies don't mind my butting in. I post over on the Sept. board (I'm due in early Sept) & decided to check over here to be nosey & saw this post.

I've read that if you take Vit E it can cause the skins elasticity to be better & if you rub it on your belly, though messy, this could help with stretch mark prevention too.

I got tons of them with my first pg & many more with my second. I think some women will get them no matter what they do to try to prevent them but I think (maybe) they can be minimized by some of natures tools.

I have heard that taking a little extra vitamin C will really help with skin elasticity - I take about 1000 mg extra a couple times a week along with my prenatals and so far so good!

Diddo. I heard that VC & VE both help with stretch marks from the inside out--where it counts! Been taking both almost everyday, when I remember (along with fish oil and some other stuff). Oh, and still rubbing on my udder cream--whether it helps or not it sure feels good!
