I just made my first diaper about two weeks ago... and I'm due early next month! I can't believe I didn't start sooner... it was SO EASY once I made the first one. I've learned so much from these boards in the last couple weeks... you all are awesome!! Here are some pics:

My very first diaper:
http://www.jheredia.com/photogallery/dipe1.jpg

A few smalls:
http://www.jheredia.com/photogallery/dipe1.jpg

The inside of a small:
http://www.jheredia.com/photogallery/dipe1.jpg

Another inner
http://www.jheredia.com/photogallery/dipe1.jpg

My whole stash, almost:
http://www.jheredia.com/photogallery/dipe1.jpg

I'm waiting on some Aplix to put on these. Most of them have lay-in soakers, and I still need to make a few of those. I just cut out 4 more smalls, so I think that should make a total of 16 NB (including contours and prefolds) and 18 smalls (including a few prefolds). Will this be enough?

Those look so soft and cuddly! They kind of look similar to a pattern I use, one that I traced off of a fitted I had bought at a garage sale. They look like they'll work great!

Those look adorable! newborns go potty so much we went through 10-12 diapers a day, so you may want to add more NB diapers or infant prefolds. I plan on using 36 pf's for the NB stage and use the smalls I am making afterwards. I may make some nightime NB diapers for ease of use instead of doing a pf in the middle of the night. Your stash looks great!!! I almost bought that plaidish print from Joanns. I didn't think I could line it up straight-you did awesome!

I am *very* impressed! They all look just perfect! I love your idea of using the pocket idea but just with a section of fabric, too. Very smart, mama!

Thanks!

I hate to make more nb, as I might have another big baby, but I think I'll make a few more contours. They can be used later on as doublers.

Ah- the "pocket"- I wanted to line that dipe with that microsuede towel, but it wasn't big enough, so that was all I could do. Not sure if I like it, yet.

I keep wanting to say "web fajita".

Now back to the topic... WAY CUTE!!!! You might get a dozen infant prefolds to use during the newborn/small stage, because if you do have a baby that doesn't fit in smalls at all, you will run out of diapers pretty quick. Average newborns go through 10-12 diapers a day, sometimes more! I would recommend 2 dozen so you don't have to wash twice a day. Maybe even have some cheap washcloths on hand for the first week or two if the infant prefolds are too big. And have 2-3 dozen of the smalls - then you can go every other day probably. A toddler could get away with 16-18 and still wash every 2-3 days, but a newborn... nope.

Earthenware, "webjefita" : web - heh- fee - ta (means webmaster in spanish)

Thank you all! It looks like I need to make some more.

I have a few NB and small covers and wraps, mostly wool. I have some fleece and am debating how to make some covers out of that, too.

I think I'm going to order some PUL and try to make some small pockets, too. Thanks for all the input!

Oh yes, these are all flannel. It was a pattern a friend gave to me, she made it herself, and I LOVE it!!
