Hey there mommas,

Can you believe that it's almost been 3 months!! Holy where did the time go!!

I hope everyone is doing great!!

Yanic rolled over on the 30th of Sept!! I can't believe it! Although he has been holding his head good since birth, so I guess he'll be walking in a month or so :
It was so cool though, he rolled over and then Evy and I clapped and he got all excited and smiled and laughed, so I put him down again (cause of course I swooped him up) and said "are you going to roll again" and he got all excited and did it again!

He's off the chart on his length (63 cm) and around 14lbs now (I forgot to ask her at our appt....we were doing him and me and started talking about something else). He did really good with his first vacc....

He's talking up a storm and laughing, he's just so sweet and Evy is a big help still which is great.

The weather here is cold....we had snow on the first and tonnes of frost this morning, and it's been raining for like 2 weeks straight atleast once during the day, if not all day!! Crazy! Although the moon is getting rounded again, so hopefully that means we're done. Landlady told me an old farmers tale that if the moon is straight down (when it's not full) then we'll get dumped on, and if it's curved, we won't. So I've been watching the moon.

Anyways, I hope all is well with you all.....
Talk soon,
Hi! We're doing well here. Winter is getting huge, too. He's about 16 lbs, he's getting heavy. We're getting over a terrible cold, poor Winter, he gets so upset over his stuffy nose. We haven't had a good sleep since thursday night -- I'm hoping we'll finally get some sleep tonight.

I can't believe it's been almost three months! Winter is losing his "newborn" look, he's starting to look like a bigger baby. His smiles and laughs are so sweet. I just can't get over how quickly it's going by.

MIL and FIL are coming at the end of the month.... I'm having mixed feelings about that. I love them and am looking forward to having Winter spend some time with his grandparents....but FIL can be a lot to take! He always needs an "activity" and we live in NUNAVUT! Not much to do here (in our tiny apt) at the beg. of November!....Well, I'm sure we'll survive.

Hope you are all well, take a second look at changing leaves for me! (there are no trees in Nunavut!)

I just weighed Yanic today on our scale (I broke down and got one) and he was 16lbs!! Holy...guess I was wrong in my 14 lb estimate.
I'm down 32 lbs too...so that was nice to see, it was the first time I weighed myself since having him....another 12 and I'll be at pre-preggo weight~yeah!! It definately comes off slower the second time around though.
Hope all you Canucks are having a nice Thanksgiving weekend...my mom is up and we're having fun....
On our way out for a walk through the woods...
Take care all and Talk soon,
Yah! I'm so glad we are back on the boards! I've missed checking in regularly...We are doing really well, Aidan is also getting huge, up to 15 lbs at least now, haven't weighed him for a couple of days. He is laughing and smiling and talking to all his stuffed critters but no sign of rolling yet. He gets very busy on the floor, stretching and arching so I'm sure it will be any day now. The weather has been amazing here, really warm and sunny though I'm enjoying the changing leaves.
My folks are in town, spoiling the grandson. We are Canucks so we're having the turkey bird tonight although we live in the States. Yum! Two Thanksgivings is awesome
hi everyone! my Aidan is a big whale of a baby - I keep singing the Raffi song 'baby beluga' to him! dunno what he weighs tho. he's just recovering from chickenpox, kindly shared by his big bro (who has now had it twice). He likes chatting and flaps all his little flippers but no signs of rolling - however he has been dribbling lots for a couple of weeks and I can see little fangs just beneath the skin of his lower gums, ds1 got two teeth at 4 mos so i'm not too surprised (but not looking forwadr to those fangs munching my nipples )

we have still been having lots of ds2 drama and it seems to have helped to invite him back into the big bed with me and ds3, tho I feel like I have to be so on guard as ds2 is such a snuggler, I am afraid he will wrwiggle up too close to ds3 . We did move his mattress next to the bed but it's no use, he wants to be in with us, nice and close

I'm enjoying using the fitted nappies a friend gave me - they have been thru three babies but are still very absorbent for day use - I wish I could get some hemp inserts for nighttime but the cost to import them here is huge and noone makes them locally (yet)

oh duty is calling again, give all those lovely babies an extra hug from downunder

Hi! I'm new here. My July baby was born 7/3/03, Rylie Sage ELizabeth. This is our first baby, and we are still learning. Everything changes so fast! It was just a few months ago I noticed that her cries were starting to sound slightly different and now she is talking and cooing a ton, and just started laughing last week. DH and I couldn't believe it. We kept dropping her toy (the thing that caused the laughter the first time) over and over again for a good 15 minutes. She's got us wrapped around her little pinkie.

No rolling over yet, but she will roll to her side easily enough. Hopefully this month she'll try going a little further.

She doesn't sleep more than 4 hour stretches at night between feedings. Sometimes I'm up to breastfeed her every 2 hours at night. She's a high needs baby, so I guess I'll have to live with it for a while.

Well, hi And I'm glad to have found this forum!

Hello all! I am new to this board so I wanted to jump on in here and introduce myself. I am Liz and I have a beautiful July baby named Mackenzie. She weighed in at just over 11 pounds at her last appointment and is happliy breastfed. She is just a tiny peanut but is growing so big!! No signs of rolling over yet but then again, I don't put her down often so how is she going to learn that. I also have a 21 month old son who is still learning to be gentle with the baby so her down time is limited to when he is not around right now. It is nice to "meet" you all, I love hearing about other babies the same age as Mack.

Yanic is changing so fast!! Holy...we're getting really big belly laughs now...and he's ticklish....I don't tickle him too long, cause he can't tell me to stop...but when changing his bum I can't resist running my fingers down his side to hear that laugh!!

He's really "eating" his fists now too....and I think I can feel a bud of a tooth....wouldn't surprise me...Evy had her top 4 early...and all at once!!

Hi! Willem is also big, born at 7 lbs but 12 lbs at 6 weeks, I imagine he approaches 16 or so now. He laughs and does what we call "batting practice" with his arms (and legs) ~ he's also starting to grab toys. He loves his big sister. He sleeps a lot, still ~ about 16 to 18 hours a day, with only two nurse breaks between 9 pm and 9 am. DD was down to 12 hours of sleep total by 3 months, so we're really enjoying this.

He's a very friendly little guy, but he has a sensitive tummy and can be very upset when something happens to it. He loves riding the sling in kangaroo position (I cross 2 fleece slings for mutual comfort). He gives big slobbery kisses all over my nose.

He uses only one boob, which he shares with his sister. Can you imagine how many hours of nursing are in this boy?

I've spent all my free time making dipes for him (they're hard to get here). He's in size medium now, I think. His tummy is wider than long He's my sweet little chubber

Yeah!!!
It's amazing the changes that this month have brought to all our little ones. Even though Yanic is #2, it still amazes me the stuff he is learning to do.

He's started sitting up "by himself" with pillows around him, but not leaning on them at first....you guys know what I mean....

He's so funny and smily and sweet....ALMOST makes me wish he wasn't the last babe!! And I really mean ALMOST :LOL

Take care all,
Hi all! My sweet little sugar baby is rolling over from back to side--not to tummy yet. She loves to smile--but has only laughed out loud once so far--but she is a HAPPY baby. She loves to nurse and to chew on her hands. We have thrush right now Oh, she is starting to bat her hands at toys. She is my little doll baby!! She used to sleep through the night, but now she wakes up more often : Maybe a growing spurt. Even after 3 other children these baby moments are so much fun

Hi Guys! So good to hear from everyone! Aidan is doing so well, we finally (fingers crossed) have come out of the gassy phase and are having great nights of no screaming. Lucky for us, Dad was getting tired of being the official burper every night Still no signs of rolling over but Aidan loves to chew his hands and grab and stuff toys in his mouth. He literally learned that in one day, it was so amazing to watch him realize that the toy above his head could be reached and mauled!! DH was discussing a baby he met today, one day older than Aidan and she is 5 POUNDS lighter than our little tank!! We are trying to get him to sit up more often so he can learn to keep his head upright all the time...he is too busy putting on weight to bother with such things
We are rolling here too.. Usually side to side, but occasionally from back to stomach.. Liam is a whopping 16lbs already.. At wal-mart this week someone thought he was 6 months old Nope.. Just 3. ..:LOL :LOL

Liam is still waking up at least 3-4 times a night.. I could really use some sleep..

I am having a hard time standing up if i have gone down to the floor to pick something up when i have LIam in the sling.. I actually fell on my butt (really hard) at Barnes & Noble when i tried to get up.. Liam was fine he was in the sling, but i am starting to worry.. I was having auto-immune problems before we got pg, and I worry if this could be related to that.. I should go to the Dr, but i'm a bit scared.. Of course maybe it's just that he soo dang big!! :LOL

Dyan ~~We went to a playgroup today and a lady there thought Yanic was 6 months also....I said no 3....her little guy was the same size as Yanic and was 6 months old.
I hope all is well with you!! It could be that he is heavy (as Yanic gets heavy to sling sometimes too~especially when Evy wants up too....talk about carrying an extra 44lbs!!) and I hope that when you get it checked out all is well....it could also be that you're tired. We're having a growth spurt here.

Really working on teeth too....very drooly....
Take care all

Quinn is 15 lbs. too!! Me and dh were excited at first b/c he's so healthy, but after so many people commenting we were getting paranoid. Glad there are so many other bigguns out there!!

So far he's only rolling back to side. He's been gnawing on finger and as of Sat. night he's sucking his thumb - very cute
