actually, I started for DS's butt and always said I KNOW Id never save money, but thinking about it today, I have already saved 20 dollars, LOL

(that is because I only buy diapers with the money that I get from selling my other diapers, so it is the same 100 dollars circulating around)

Hmmmm, I don't think that was ever a consideration of mine... I started cd'ing Anwyn b/c little gel balls stuck all over her crotch disgusted me. I would have to have at least 2 more children working w/ the same stash to save money - :LOL

Oh yea.....that is how I *masked* it with DH. But you know what? He *really* thinks we are saving money.

And you know what, I think we are, too. No gas to the store. No late night trips. No actual purchasing of them. And I really don't have a *hyena* stash.... I am terrible at stalking!

DH STILL tells people how much money we are saving.
and we just started, so we are sooo OUT money right now. BUT it was nice being at the grocery store and when he asked me if we needed to go down the baby isle I said no (no dipes, wipes, ointment, or formula) so he got all happy and it reinforced the "saving money" bit!

I think most of us can honestly say that we do save money (at least a little bit
)

Here's an article at borntolove.com that discusses the costs of disposables:

http://www.borntolove.com/expensive.html

They estimate that 2 1/2 yrs of disposies will cost $1,558.96 (and that's per baby!) I'll make sure to whip that number out the next time DH complains about my CD habit

Can I save money if I use only hemp or organic fitteds and wool (hoping to make most of the wool to save $)? Even if I don't resell, but do plan to use on multiple kiddos? I'm in it for the environment and I'm okay if I don't save much because our precious earth is worth it, but it would be nice to save some.
