I'm thinking to get a couple more HH. I'm not that sold on the pocket dipes, they don't work for us overnight but they work for longer stints out. They just fit ds's chunky thighs but could be alot roomier for my liking. Anyway I'm wondering about the prints. I keep reading that they're 'laminate' which doesn't sound too comfy plus I've read a few posters have found them somewhat stiff. Any input on this would be appreciated. TIA

With the med. hh's I have (not many, just started cding) the solids are softer. but I do like the prints....so cute. dd doesn't really have an opinion either way (hah - she's only 4 mo) and the stiffer prints don't seem to faze her.

I have both - and I like the solids better, they are softer.
I personally love pocket dipes for night time, I put DS in a HH and DD (who has skinnier legs) in a FB with 2 Joey bunz and its great..
there are other pocket dipes that might work better for you overnight, but anyway back to your original question (LOL)..

I think the prints are cute but the feel of them is too stiff IMO.

The solids are softer. I still have mostly prints for my son cause they are so cute. After a few washings they become softer but not as soft as the solids. The moon laminated flannel one is a soft one too.

I have not noticed much difference with my Large HH, except that that moon one is *alot* softer than all the others. I do not feel like the difference is that big of a deal, although my eight month old DD isn't saying much yet. Maybe some one with a talker in HH may know?

DD has printed XL HH diapers & plain L trainers (I assume the fabric used for the trainers is the same as the diapers). The solids are definately softer to the point where she complains about the "crunchy" ness of the diaper compared to her trainers.

BUT, for diapers I really like the prints because they are so cute

Thanks ladies for the info. I went ahead and ordered 2 HHs. I had figured I'd go with solids based on the feedback here but then when I saw those prints I couldn't resist

I know you already bought, but someone wanted to hear form a child in HH, much to dismay, my ds very much prefers the feel of the solids, although he loves the prints, so when he picks a diaper from the cabinet, he picks monsters or trucks, but then he says, "penis hurts" sometimes in the prints, and never in the solids

I was thinking of switching to less exciting dipes (ie-get all solids) cause I want the "big boy underpants" to seem more appealing than the diapers, YK?
