Howdy there. I am somewhat new to the forums as I read a lot but haven't posted much. I'm not new to Mothering Mag - have had subscriptions on and off since my first was born in '94, and it's my favorite gift to new parents.
My name is Katy and I just turned 30 years old. I have two birth daughters adopted by their aunt as I wasn't ready for kids. I had a tubal ligation when I was 23, when I was certain I'd never be ready for kids. Now I know why it's so hard for young women to get a doctor to perform a tubal. Naturally, I have changed my mind, and I'm going to Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center in NC some time around July-August for a tubal reversal.
My fiance, Kevin, and I have been friends for 17 years. We recently began dating and knew almost right away that this was "it" and started planning for marriage and children.
I have tons of questions and look forward to being more active on the boards.
