I am a stay-at-home Mom to 2 teenage girls, who were born during my husband's college years. My second child was born at home(first would have been if I could have found a midwife); husband, also, was born at home). RN,BSN. I am a nonvaccinating preventative health oriented person who cloth diapered, carried my children in front/back packs up to 4 y.o., breast fed 2+ yrs, treats common ailments herbally, etc.
I am currently raising Shetland Sheep on our small family farm and making all sorts of woolworks from start to finish, ie my wool does not leave this farm for any processing, etc. My specialty is spinning in the grease and in the lock to maintain the natural lanolin and natural color variation of the Shetland Fleece. My daughters love helping with the sheep, our Scottish Highland Cattle, and have taken over the gardening. My husband teaches science during the school year and plays farmer and handyman the rest of the time.
