So it looks like I am in this due date club, although quite late in the month-- Feb 24-26-ish according to the online calculators. I'm guessing that once the March DDC is open I'll be there as well-- don't first-timers usually go past the 40 weeks?

I am going to try to get a blood-test confirmation of pregnancy b/c I had a miscarriage recently so I just want to make sure that it's not, like, leftover hormones or something.

So a tentative Heya! to everyone!!

Lots of folks go past 40 weeks, and there is a tendancy for pregnancies to get longer with each pregnancy, though it's far from a hard and fast rule. My last one came at almost 44 weeks. I'll probably see you in the March group, and you'll probably have your baby before I will.

Congratulations and Welcome!

I got pregnant with my first baby after an early miscarriage, as long as you had one flow it isn't "leftover" hcg. But I can understand the need for confirmation. Ask for a quantitative hcg test, this will give you the amount that is present and that way you can test in a few days again and see whether the amount is rising the way it should. I also had an early ultrasound with baby #1 to see the heartbeat and that was incredibly reassuring. Good luck!!
I will probably join the March board as well. Ds was born on his due date, but you never know when babies will come.
I think I read somewhere a HUGE majority of first time mums go six days over, was true here and my mom and aunt and cousin sooooo..

Hmm. That might put me near a leap-year baby!

Well, that would be kind of awesome, actually
I'm not hoping to run long, or anything, but... okay, I'm lame.
