Ever since I could remember whenever I got hiccups, I GOT hiccups. They don't go away with any of the old tricks (drinking water, holding your breath, etc) and last up to an hour. If I have them once during the day, I usually end up getting them at least another time if not two more.<br><br>
Anywho, I've been noticing that this baby gets the hiccups twice a day, everyday. Once at some random time during the day and then again at night, around the time I get home from work/get ready for bed (between 1 and 2am).<br><br>
Is this ok for her? Is this something I should worry about, or is it actually helping her? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/headscratch.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="headscratch">

It's normal <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> My dd was *really* hiccupy in utero, and now when she gets the hiccups she seems to actually enjoy them. She's an odd kid sometimes :LOL<br><br>
Just felt my newbie hiccuping for the first time today, too <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

I think it is normal. My baby has been getting hiccups this past week or so, usually once or twice a day. DS did the same thing in utero - in fact, after my water broke, we went to the midwife to get monitored and labor had just barely started but he was hiccupping! My mom said that I hiccupped all the time when I was in her belly!

If it helps any, this baby has yet to have them. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

One of the babies gets the hiccups all the time! It is kind of annoying. But so far the baby on the left is the only one who gets them. It kind of drives me crazy and I poke him (or her) to make him stop.

rowan got hiccups ALL the time. i don't *think* that Ava has had them yet...or if she has, they didn't last long. it is totally normal, though, and not at all indicative of how often they'll get them once they're born, i think. rowan rarely does.
