Drat! So that means Atkins is out?
I was just posting this question on another board. Factory farmed animals in general have much higher levels of cortisol and adrenaline in their flesh after butchering due to the horrific and inhumane slaughterhouse techniques. You have to wonder how much that contributes to the violence in society. I remember reading in Taiwan, I believe that they actually make it a practice to torture animals before slaughter. They believe the high amounts of cortisol and adrenaline make them more virile. So sad. One more reason to avoid commercial and factory farmed meats. Ugh.
