Yep, the cashew thread!

I'm curious to learn more because DS often gets puffs around his eyes that come and go and I've never quite figured out what causes them. On dry, sunny days and outdoors, they are much better so I wondered about mold. I hope I can get more info on other foods high in molds. Which grains?

Hmmm, grains tend to be moldy in general. Don't know if some are higher.
I had no idea about the aspergillus before allergy testing. We did blood tests and ds was allergic to cashews and peanuts and had an environmental allergy to aspergillus mold. My doc said that it wasn't suprising since peanuts and cashews are very high in aspergillus. Yuck.

Grapefruit! Why would this be high in molds? Is the way it's picked and stored? If Grapefruit is high in mold, does it stand to reason that other citrus fruits (lemon, limes) are also high in molds?

Why nuts? Is it a thing about the meat being in a shell that traps moisture?

Interesting thread.
