My dh has three huge safes full of guns. : I'll have to ask him how many he really has.

Americans have a Constitutional Right to own a gun.

It follows that the more guns you have the more Constitutional Rights you have.

I should add that my dh has at least 10 guns/rifles in the house. We do not, on the other hand, have bullets in the house.

I'm not very surprised, either. Gunsmiths or collectors like my dad will often have over a dozen guns at any given time Most of my dad's are mounted on display in a locked room, with the bullets stored in a locked cabinet in a separate area.

ther USA has a differnt founding, based on gained independance, the milisha and so on ....

DH and his whole family hunt -- i bet both BIl have more than 10 guns (not hand guns) each .... DH is LEO and all the people i know who work with him have 5+ guns that i am aware of ... some a lot more.

So while i see the average is 90 per 100 -- i do not think 90 people out of the next 100 you see are gun owners.

The people I know who have guns, have lots and lots ... 2 gun cabinets full for 2 shooters. : : : I think the target rifles cost $500-1000 each, so this has impacted decisions like sahm vs. working mom, and also impacted college savings. They get (maybe) one deer a year if they are lucky.

:

we have a lot of guns, well DH does. However, within reason -- I still stay home, and college is still being funded as is retirment and the house ... however, the guns do hold value, like my good jewlery, expically some on them.

i love DH getting a deer or two for the freexer, i can go a full year without buying cow ... and evey phesant he gets is one less chicken i have to buy

My dh as close to 100 guns and the only reason he has this many is because we can afford them. It hasn't impacted my ability to SAHM or our dc's college savings at all. My dh is a gun collector and he very rarely shoots the guns, and he has never hunted. He mainly just takes them out, cleans them, and shows them off.

Absolutely not surprising.

Those who own the most guns are collectors and are probably less likely than other gun owners to have accidents. My brother-in-law must have fifty guns. He uses them to hunt, or to collect. His parents live totally off the grid so they get all their iron from organic deer meat.
