Hi there.
My best friend is moving to Marin County - hasn't found a home yet so I'm not sure what town she'll end up in. She'll be about 6 months pregnant when she moves and is looking for a home birth. She's also open to a birth center, since she's not sure if she'll be settled in a permanent home or in some sort of temporary place and how she'd feel about birthing there if that is the case. Also, her first birth was pretty fast (maybe 4 or so hours of active labor) so she wants someone nearby rather than someone from another part of the Bay Area.

Any recommendations would be appreciated! You can post them here or PM me.

Many thanks!!
Some friends of our who live in Point Reyes had their DD at the Women's Health and Birth Center in Santa Rosa and really liked it. It's not too far a commute from some of Marin to have a CMN supported birth If we were up in Marin instead of L.A., I would definately have gone there.

http://www.womenshealthandbirthcenter.com/

Thanks. I'll send that recommendation along. It looks like they're buying in San Anselmo. The birth center may be a bit of a haul, considering her history of fast births, but it could work if the only alternative is a hospital!

Any other folks with home or bc recommendations?

Thanks again!
