It matters very little where you come from, as long as where you act from is a place of integrity. Integrity to others, integrity to your purpose, and integrity to yourself. As long as your vision is wide and your heart a vessel for love, the world becomes a treasure to your soul.<br><br>
It matters very little where you come from, as long as where you are going is home; Shelter from the blazing storm that is our collective confusion, far from the dissipating compassion of society, away from the lusting after fame. As long as where you are going embraces humanity in all its glory and revokes the evilness of hate. Where children run free and the aged are sought for their wisdom. Where laughter is the song of the birds, where pain is not left to rot and beauty is not likened to perfection. Where love is the head of the house, and failures are seen as stepping stones. Where life is celebrated and no-one goes hungry. Let that home be a beacon of light to all weary travellers – where guests feel cherished enough to take their shoes off! Let that home be a house of healing. Energy that urges us to give without remembering; receive without forgetting.

What it evokes in me is the fact that such a 'home' can be anywhere we chose to make it - your wealth (or lack thereof) religious convictions, race, or gender do not affect your ability to create such a home, or if they do, they shouldn't. This 'home' is built with love, understanding, and acceptance; not brick and mortar. And if we build it strong enough, it can weather any storm, nature or man made.<br>
You have real talent, Raven!

I wrote this about 18 months ago and when I wrote it I was thinking about what you said:<br><br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">
<div class="smallfont" style="margin-bottom:2px;">Quote:</div>
<table border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0" width="99%"><tr><td class="alt2" style="border:1px inset;">such a 'home' can be anywhere we chose to make it</td>
</tr></table></div>
I strive for this in my life....
