Thursday, March 23, 2006 we will gather inside the Capital under the dome. Just go in any door and meet the middle.

We will meet at 9:00 am and we’ll be done when we’re done. We need HUDNREDS of people there to make the kind of impact we’re after! So bring your friends, grandparents, sisters, people from your yoga class…! J Babies & children are welcome.

Terri Rieder asked me to urge you to “Please rearrange your schedule that day to be there, this is only one day. You might want a Home Birth in the next couple of years and you can make an impact on having a Licensed Midwife attend your birth legally. I know the impact large crowds have on the Leg. You should have seen 650 men and women on there bicycles last week! If the biking organization can get that many people to show up for that, don't you think we can show up for the right to give birth where we want?!"

If you are from Paulding County, please contact Speaker of the House/Representative Glen Richardson. He is against funding our study committee. He said that infant mortality went down when hospitals started doing births. Contact him ASAP. [email protected] , (o) 404.656.5020, (fax) 404.656.5644, http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2...n,%20glenn.htm

UPDATE ON HR 1341: Although we did not make it to the Senate, we are still optimistic about it being a house study resolution. Please contact Speaker Richardson (see above) even if you are not from Paulding Co., but especially if you are.

Thank you!
