hi ladies, i'm new and in need of a bit of assistance.
i am 11 weeks pregnant and planning a homebirth with a cpm. however, i have a history of a weak/incompetent cervix. i did without a cervical stitch in my last two pregnancies, but it doesn't look like i am going to be so lucky this time. i need an ob who will place the cerclage without taking over my care entirely, and it needs to be a woman.
any ideas appreciated, thank you!

My midwife has an office on SLC, and one in Ogden. She works with a few "back-up" OBs, and I really like the one I've been working with. I've only seen him once, but he seemed very respectful of homebirths and midwives. He did only the care that was required, and let me know that if we need anything else, to let him know, otherwise, congratulations, and good-luck with everything. His name is Dr. Craig Hurst, and his office is in the Bitner building right next to Davis Hospital in Layton. I would recommend him because of the way he offers the care necessary, but doesn't try to take over as your main caregiver for the pregnancy.
