I don't know where to put this (there should be a forum for this
)

Anyways, I love to make Ezra's food at home (cook, blend, freeze). I was wondering... has anyone used the tops from carrots, thrown that in when you blend the carrots (after cooking the carrots of course)? Also...things like plums and peaches and apples, can I throw the skins in as well for that blending?

There is. You're in it!

Depends on your blender, and on whether or not you buy (and/or are picky about) organic fruit. I wouldn't use the skins from non-organic fruit, but if your fruit is good and pesticide free, and you have a powerful blender that can take care of the peel, then why not? But follow the usual precautions for introduction of new foods, just in case.

I don't know about the carrot tops. I think I would skip them and make stock with them, or just compost them, instead.
If you're interested in getting greens into him, you could try other green leafies (spinach, kale, etc.).

I get him only organic. I'm goign to buy a food processor today (my blender looks like it's from the 70s and I'm worried that it actually is
)

There's some stuff that I think he's too little to self feed (although I do give him stuff like banana and avocado to eat straight, but he can't quite figure out putting it in his mouth yet). So I'm going to stick with blending it, but it's no longer a soupy puree like I did at first. He can have little chunks now.
