I have done all I can to ensure my baby gets the breastmilk they need, but for reasons i'm not willing to discuss I have to supplement since I dont produce enough breastmilk. I would love to make my own formula, but haven't found any good recipes any suggestions?

Is there a milk bank in your area? I'm not sure of the safety of homemade formulas...

I don't know much about this- but when my DH's mom got pregnant and dried up when he was 5 months old, she switched him to goat's milk. Perhaps that's an option? I don't know a whole ton about goat's milk, so if it's not a good suggestion, then you all can correct me.

Here is a link to a recipe on the Dr Sears website for goat's milk formula http://askdrsears.com/html/3/t032401.asp Please notice that a vitamin supplement is recommended if you decide to make this formula (or any homemade formula) since it will not include many of the added nutrients in commercially-prepared formula.
