I've seen similar posts on the Life with a Babe thread. You might also want to check out the self feeding/child led weaning thread there as well. I haven't made rice cereal myself though. We chose to start solids with banana, applesauce and avocado so far.

There's a recipe for homemade rice cereal in the most recent (March/April 2008) issue of Mothering magazine. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

Personally, I'd just give the babe a spoon & let them have real rice. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

Just give them regular rice. No need to spoon liquids into them.<br><br>
