I recently moved and wonder what resources there are for homeschoolers in the south suburbs. I'm in Northfield, but would look as far north as Burnsville. I'm looking for organizations as well as any class opportunities.
We're secular and unschooling.

I'm interested as well. I'm in Shakopee and it looks like we will be starting this fall.

We're a homeschooling family south of the river. I'm in Apple Valley, although I'll be moving to Belle Plaine in a week or so.

We belong to the Hedfex co-op, which we LOVE. We meet in Burnsville on Thursday afternoons. Registration for next year is going on right now. Website is here:
www.hedfex.org

I'll also put a word in for the homeschool open gym at the Apple Valley community center. It's on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:15-2:15pm. Attendance can vary based on the weather and what other people have going on that day. We go on a semi-regular basis, and there is a good mix of kids there- often there are teenagers playing basketball. The younger kids usually run and play, throw balls, make up games, etc.
