This happened at a school near my town. I feel terrible for the teachers, children, and community. What drives people (of any age) to do this?

My guess would be that it was a bunch of kids who didn't realize how much damage they were going to do.

Did you see the photo of the damaged music room and piano? That's heartbreaking. There is a chance those items might never be replaced because music programs are the last to receive funding from the school districts. Maybe VH1's Save The Music can help this school. (I'm sending them an email.)

The young //bleep bleeps// who did clogged the sinks and left the water running probably didn't realize they would do this much damage.

Oh wait, I take that back. They damaged every single class room with paint, etc. Don't want to violate the UA... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

my elementary school was vandalized when I was young.

I dont remember if they ever caught who did it.

But the poured paint in all the file cabinets, (this was before wide spread use of computers)
spray painted walls, made one hell of a mess.

but this thing is much, much worse.

How awful.

I agree about the music room. I have to wonder if that wont be replaced because of lack of funds.

That's horrible! I wanted to think they didn't realize the damage they were doing at first either, but it looks like this was more than a prank that got out of hand. This was cruel.
