okay, that was the most concise thread title I could come up with after a not so good mommy day. DS, who is 18 months old, had a big weekend, and now he is sick. I am trying to decide what could be the cause before I call the dr tomorrow morning. Saturday we went on a wagon ride where there was a petting zoo. I washed his hands at the end, but what are the chances that he picked something up from one of the animals?

The other thing is that he stayed with my grandmother for a few hours on Sunday, and they went to a birthday party where she fed him HOT DOGS. TWO hot dogs. Okay, so how angry I am about this is an entirely different thread. Anyways, to the point, Mylo has had runny, SUPER stinky poops since Sunday night. Sunday night and Monday, he seemed like his stomach hurt, and I assumed that it was because of the hot dogs. Now he seems okay, except for the poops. The frequency is not alarming, although he has had about four poopy diapers a day instead of one.... should I be freaking out? does he have some kind of mad cow disease from his big weekend? help, mamas! btw, I have never written scuh a long post solely about poop! lol

I'd be upset about the hot dogs too
It also could just be coincidental (sp?). Maybe he's teething and the extra saliva--combined with the hot dogs--has disrupted his delicate digestive system...

There is always a chance that he picked up something from the petting zoo, but more likely a new food introiduced would cause the issue.

Something like hot dogs might be too much for his system, and 2 of them! Yikes. Now, personally, I have nothing against hot dogs for kids, but they have to be introduced SLOWLY.

Hope he feels better

Thanks, guys. Mylo is feeling much better today, and his poops are back to normal. I guess it was probably the hot dogs. We don't do much in the way of processed food at our house, and the only meat mylo has had is chicken. The dogs must have really freaked his tummy out.

Now, for how to discuss this with my grandmother without freaking out too. : The whole family just think we're weird for not feeding him bologna and cheezits at every meal.

anyways, thanks again!
