I have a question about housing. I don't know the area at all and looking at some fairly cheap houses for sale. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which areas are ok and which to stay away from? I know every city has them.

Can I post a few links to ones I've been looking at? they seem to be in the same area but I'm not sure really.. They seem cheap but I don't know if its the area or the economy that is the problem. Any ideas? I'm so confused. I've never bought a house before and honestly don't even know if we'd qualify for one, but we're sick of renting.

In Moline, Rock Island also there is a fine line between the good/bad neighborhoods, I personally would take a look at the neighborhood first hand even after living here for 3 years now.
