At least, I think that's what I'm feeling!
You'd think I'd know for sure with my THIRD BABY, but what's throwing me off is that it's awfully high. I know that my uterus is measuring quite large, it's just a hair shy of my navel already (and I'm only 16 weeks! it's supposed to reach your navel at 20!) but I'm feeling movement up near my navel on the left side. It definitely feels like movement, those little flutters and twitches that early movements feel like, but I expected them down lower this early.

Either way, I'm enjoying the sensation
Something is actually ALIVE in there!!!!

It's reassuring, isn't it, to have proof that we're not just all suddenly developing a case of severe abdominal bloating?

I listened to my little bean on Wed. night with my fetal doppler and, as usual, baby kept swimming away. I don't think he/she much likes being checked up on, but my post-m/c paranoid need to check in every so often outweighs baby's preference, I'm sorry to say. So with all that moving around, it took me longer than usual to find the hb. Then, right after I'd finally found it, had a quick listen, and had just taken the probe off to wipe it off, etc., the little bugger kicked me, HARD, right where I had just been listening. "Take that, mama!"
I'm already getting the sense that this baby is going to have strong opinions...

I totally still can't tell FOR SURE yet either! And it's making me crazy - you'd think with number 3 we'd be feeling them with the bfp, but no dice!

Oh well - my other two used to kick the dopplar too, Guin - this one just avoids

You think I'd remember too, since it's only been a couple of years since I was at this point last prgnancy, but I'm still not sure sometimes.
Then I get the insistent cervical tickling. I keep begging this baby to move up because it's so uncomfortable when that happens! Feels like a foot or something is gonna pop out!

OH yes, I remember those cervical kicks!!!! Ian used to "flick" at my cervix (at least that's what it felt like!) late in my third trimester (he was head down, so it couldn't have been a kick!). I remember calling up my OB and asking her if it was possible that's what I was feeling, and she kind of laughed at me! (then told me that, yes, it was possible that was what I was feeling)

I had more movement last night, actually early early this morning, and it was lower and more mid-line, which made more sense to me than the high left flutters I was feeling the other day. My hubby had his arm draped over my belly in bed and I woke him up and said "Can you feel that?" But he couldn't. Soon, hopefully

I was 16 weeks yesterday and just this weekend I *think* I can feel something. But its still so faint that I doubt myself. . .its just like all these tiny flutters. Happened a couple times now when I was on the couch reading. I keep thinking maybe its just my intestines talking, but then again, it feels different somehow. . .lighter and more rapid than any gas ever has. I can't wait for it to get stronger so I can be sure though.

I haven't had that aha moment yet where I just know for sure. Soon hopefully. Once you can identify it do you feel it everyday or does it come and go? When do you start feeling the Lo everyday?

This is me exactly...little flutters that could be muscle twitches, but I'm thinking are the baby.

With my first, I felt the first movement around 17 weeks, then nothing for two more weeks. Just when I was doubting that it was in fact movement that I had felt in the first place, it started again exactly the same feeling. It was pretty consistent after that, but sometimes I had to lay down and focus. I'd say by 20 weeks I felt consistent movement every day. My husband started being able to feel it around 22-23 weeks.

Thanks 2boyzmamma! Its nice to hear from someone who's done this/felt this before. I have to concentrate on it too at this point. . .the times I have felt something I practically stop breathing, but that can't be encouraging the LO to keep going can it?
I can't wait till I can share this with hubby and he can feel it too!

Nothing yet today, not even when I had an OB appt and he used the doppler to listen to the hearbeat. Both my other sons HATED the doppler! So far this baby seems more active at night, though, so maybe he/she was just sleeping through the appt!
