Hi all. Well I am almost at 40 weeks now and am hoping that my daughter will be born soon! lol I am just curious to know, for those of you whose babies have been born at 40+ weeks, what have their weights been? My son was born 9 days early and weighed 8 pounds, so Im thinking that this one will have to be a little bigger at least.. Just wanted to get an idea , even though I know all babies are different... Thanks everyone for your help!

I don't think this will help, but my DD, born at 42.5 weeks was 10.5 lbs and DS born at 42 weeks was 11lbs.

They were going to be huge babies even if they were born at 40 weeks. While they do gain weight the last few weeks, they don't gain *that* much.

40.5 or 41 weeks (depending on the due date used) and 9 pounds, 4 ounces for my guy. I was born 40.5 weeks and was 8 pounds, 11.5 ounces.

DS was born at 42 weeks and weighed 8lbs 6oz. By contrast, my 2nd was born 4 days early and weighed 8lbs 12oz and my youngest was born over a week early and weighed 7lbs 11oz. It can vary a lot

DS was 41 weeks and 9 pounds 6 ounces. I'm hoping #2 is roughly the same.

I'd imagine this baby would be about the same as your first. They only gain 1/4lb or so each week.

I don't think there is really that much difference with pushing out an 8lb vs a 9lb baby. Other factors are more important (like placement, position, etc)
