How common is it to "drop" before labour with subsequent babies? I dropped at 39 weeks with Mackenzie (I remember exactly when it happened, too) and had her at 42 weeks. From everything I've read, most women don't drop with second babies until right up around the time of labour. Well, I woke up this morning and noticed that baby was sitting a LOT lower! And DH and I just got back from the PX and I had contractions the whole time I was there, but I only have them when I'm up and walking, and they're not painful at all, just noticeable. So it looks like something is happening, but I still expect it will be some time before I actually go into labour.

I did at 32/33 weeks with both babies. I seem to do all that stuff early on though, and the actual active labor itself just waits until the very last minute. LOL

I dropped about 3 weeks before I had all my babies.

I dropped a few weeks before dd was born this pregnancy (third) can't remember when it happened the second time.
