Dh and I are taking a class through our hospital on...

drumroll please...

cloth diapering and babyfood making!

How lucky are we? Actually I had initially heard about it from a fellow MDC mama who is a pediatrician on staff at the hospital... I am hoping to meet some like-minded mamas there. I can't wait! It is in mid-september.

I suppose alot of hospitals do things like that but here in Maine... well, DH and I are simple folk. Things like that excite us. I am going to suggest that they furnish us all with our own diaper stash... :

Wow! That is soooo cool! Plus it would be so nice to make some mommy friends! That really helps you to not feel isolated when you're a new mom!

That is so incredibly awesome...I have to say that I've never heard of a hospital offering a class like that. You're so lucky!

I'd love to meet some like-minded mommies in my area. It seems that when the mommies in my playgroups see DD's CDs they look at me like I'm an alien. And then I mention she was still BFing when I got PG. It's tough.

I'm sure you will really enjoy the class and meet lots of wonderful people!

That sounds really cool! Definitely not something offered here! We have done a babyfood making course at the foodbank, which was cool...but when DD1 was born, DH did a fathering support class and they said cloth diapers were too much work and stunk! No offense, cause we have used sposies too...but I think they stink much more and never found cloth that much more work!
