Just reading over the playground threads; ie. the slide and saying "I'm sorry." Boy, we have lots and lots of different opinions. How cool that we can share and disagree and still respect each other.

Nice role models for the kids, eh? :

Well, it's not too hard if the issue doesn't involve spanking or crying...

:LOL

JUST KIDDING! I agree, why doesn't anyone remember these threads when they complain how judgemental we all are??

Piglet, you are so funny! :LOL

Honestly, i thought the thread would be turned into a pissing match of sorts, but it didnt, thankfully!

Funny aside, you made a good point Piglet, it wasnt about spanking or crying!

Spanking, Crying, and . . . Santa Clause. Always freaks me out how passionate people are about whether or not to do Santa

Well, hrmphhh, I do spank my slide climber upper child until they're in tears and I tell them Santa will only bring them a lump of coal until they apologize.

Reading threads like those does a lot to temper my own judgmentalism!

I tend to think that anyone who doesn't behave just as I do just hasn't thought it through!
: It's good for me to be reminded that others can be thoughtful, caring, and intelligent - but have different opinions from mine!

That's funny--I didn't think the "I'm sorry" thread (at least, I haven't read the whole slide one) was terribly respectful with people saying "I hate 'I'm sorry'" or using similarly strong language towards "insincere apologies" and blanketing them uniformly in a particular way

just my 2 cents. seemed more to me that there was a strong majority opinion that most people seemed to agree with that a genuine give and take and respect...

though I do like napless's point above, and I agree with it in general on the boards...
