Thought this might be fun!<br><br>
I think DH already knew, since he was with me when I bought the tests - but I waited until DD went down for nap and asked him if he wanted his Father's Day present early.<br>
He said "What is it?"<br>
Me - Oh, come on, you already know! (digging in my pocket for the test)<br>
Him - grinning - Oh really?<br>
He looks at the test - The line isn't very strong!<br>
Me - Well, it wasn't there AT ALL yesterday!<br>
Him - Good game, good game - bumps my fist. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy"><br><br>
I laughed <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> We've been trying for the last year with 2 losses so at this point, I was just so excited, I didn't want to find some way special to tell (I did last time since I found out Dec. 23 - so I gave him his "present" on Christmas)<br><br>
I think we will tell my family and DH's family in late August - my parent's 30th anniversary is Aug. 16th and we will be in FL for family vacation with them anyway and then DH's parent's 35th anniversary is Aug 28th and we will be back and able to tell THEM - so I think it will be a great present! Plus, I will be 12 and almost 14w pregnant respectively when we tell (if they don't guess by my belly lol!)<br><br>
What about you all?

DH already knew it was a good possibility because I've been queasy all week and almost threw up in the car the night before.<br><br>
He saw me snag a test from my suitcase and was expecting a verdict when I got back, so I jumped on him in bed and told him his boys could swim, lol.<br><br>
I still can't believe we're pregnant!!!!

I made my 3 year old a shirt that said "Happy Father's Day Daddy--I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER!" and put it on him yesterday morning before we came downstairs after waking up (my husband was already up for the day.) It took him a minute to get it, but when he did, he just smiled really big and said "REALLY?" and then gave me a big hug!

I had made a shirt for him, (hoping we would get pregnant again) that said "Another blessing on the way 2011". I got him a Father's Day card from the newest member. First we gave him his presents from the other kids..and then I waited until we were alone to hand him his final gift. He loved it. Of course he can't wear the shirt until after the first trimester (we are keeping this wonderful news to ourselves until then).

We first tested on Sunday because I almost threw up. No dice. I have blood sugar issues so I thought it must just be I waited too long to eat.<br><br>
Then this morning (Tuesday) I thought, what the hey, I took one again at 5:30 in the morning (I'm an early riser) I could hardly wait for hubby to get up. When he did I said "go look on the bathroom counter!" I only wish I'd known on Father's Day. We're so thrilled to welcome #2.

I'm not technically in this due date, maybe we'll 'catch something' next month, but in preparation for knowing we'll hopefully be pregnant in the next few months, I just ordered a custom onesie that says "My daddy saves lives, what does your daddy do?" for my paramedic husband, and I figure I'll wrap it up with a card. He already told me he thinks the tests are gross, and not to give him one. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

But I told my SO "you need to come home...we have a problem...I took a test...and it's positive"...then he came home.

I told DH over IM because he asked me why I needed to go to the dollar store after work. I said "to buy tests"... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
We haven't told the kids or any family or friends yet so maybe we will come up with a more creative way to do that.

I sent him a text with a picture of the word Pregnant on the test! Hahah! He knew already because he said I was "glowy" and "different."

It's important to hubby to be there when I test so we watched the 2 pink lines come up together. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">

I dont think I'll use this this time but I've heard of people who have told DH/SO by making a nice dinner to have together and just as you sit down say "oh I forgot the bread in the oven, can you get it?" and then when he goes to get it it's just one Bun inside the oven. haha. I think it's a really cute idea because they will be all perplexed like huh?? lol. Or I've also heard of people making a themed dinner and seeing how long it takes their SO to figure it out. Like baby back ribs, baby carrots, sugar babies for dessert (or baby ruth, etc.) And if they still dont get it then have a back up plan ready. lol. Any other suggestions for when I tell DH as soon as we get our BFP?
