I wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this in, but for those who have already been pregnant, how did you tell him?

Looking for ideas. I am not preggers yet but I want to make the announcement something my hubby will remember. So far I bought the book American Daddy and I need to think of something cool to write inside it for him. I am holding on to it until I find out.

For my DH I would love to tell him in some fun way, however, I am quite possibly the worst secret keeper ever and I know I would just blurt it out the first chance I had. However, I had some ideas: buy a baby outfit that says "I love Daddy" or something like that and give it to him or leave it where he will find it. Or, a picture frame that says "Me and Daddy" and put a note in the picture spot saying "photo available January 2008" - I'm going to do this for my parents I already bought the picture frame, it has a poem written to grandparents from the baby, it's so cute. For DHs parents we are going to tell them just like the A&W commercial - DH has wanted to do that since the commercial first aired

Now I need to know-what's the A&W commercial?

For DH, he'll probably be there while I test. As long as we'll be able to see our parents in the right timeframe (we live far away), I'm going to get one of those shirts that says, "Look what I did" with a picture of a positive pregnancy test and maybe "Baby xxxxx, due this spring" on it. Then, I'll let DH just parade around with it on and see how long it takes everyone to notice.

I would like to do something cool and funny but as a PP said, I am a terrible secret keeper. For example, I was planning to stay quiet during the 2ww this time so that if I'm pregnant, I could tell him on our 3rd wedding anniversary. But all this stuff is so confusing and he knows my boobs hurt and he figured out that I could be pregnant. And now if I test I know I won't be able to hold back (partly because just thinking about geting a makes me get all right now!). So probably nothing cool for other than saying "Hi Daddy" or something like that. I wish I was cooler! I'll have to save that stuff for telling my sis and parents I guess.

The A&W commercial has a young couple taking one of their parents out to A&W and they bring the food to the table and their parents get a grandma burger and grandpa burger and the kids get mama and papa burgers. We are just going to pick up the grandma and grandpa burgers for them and bring them over for lunch or something. I'm sure they'll clue in when they see us smiling and handing it to them.
