I am an LPN; I am entering school in January for an RN program. I would like to become a certified breastfeeding educator, and I have some spare time until January. How do I go about this? Are there online courses, or is it sort of like doula certification, where you attend a seminar, and then spend so many hours assisting moms with breastfeeding?

there are also programs for lower certifications.

you could go through wic or lll to become a peer counselor.
