I cloth diapered my now 2 year old from about 10 months-16 months, but fell off the wagon when I was pregnant for various reasons. Now, the new baby is in cloth most of the time, but I can't get the 2 year old to wear them!

Any tips? She is also potty training off and on, and she's in an "off" phase right now. So maybe the cloth feels too much like the panties she doesn't want anything to do with right now? She was in panties for a week, but then wanted to go back to diapers.

I don't want to force this issue because the last thing I want is to hinder potty training, but I'd really like to stop buying so many disposables.

Do you have any cute diapers for her? My 2 year old was recently back in diapers after being a potty user for 4 months. She is now on the potty again but I know how you feel. The only way I could coax my 2 year old into a diaper was letting her pick one out. In your situation I would just get rid of the disposables. Put them way away out of sight and tell her the choice is a cloth diaper or panties. Does that sound harsh? I don't mean for it to. But the cloth is better for her and for your wallet and for the planet so I would sort of force the issue.
: Do you have a private yard where you can let her have some naked time too? I know my 2 year old loves to be naked.

this is also an issue with my 2 year old. The advice already given is what we do as well. He has some fave dipes that he always wants to wear, specifically a duck print LC and an old old old sea themed Poochies that he swears has Care Bears on it rather than sea creatures!
Also something that makes him feel comfy, fleece liners, or fleece lined etc. And he hates covers totally...so I've been using a lot more AIOs for him than I care to.
