I finished crocheting the pieces for <a href="http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/beatrice/beatrice_lg.html" target="_blank">this</a> shrug, but I am not sure how to seam it. You crochet it from side to side, then fold it in half, seam the sleeves part way, then sew the tie around the rest. (See the <a href="http://www.berroco.com/images/exclusives/am/beatrice/beatrice.gif" target="_blank">diagram.</a>)<br><br>
Which color do I pick to seam it with? Is there a way I can do it so I don't end up with ugly visible whip stitches on the contrasting colors? TIA!

I would do a whip type stitch w/ alternating colors to match your seam.

I'm glad you finally got it done! I'd turn it inside out & slipstitch it closed; the yarn won't show from the outside.

okay, first I have to say <i>thanks so much</i> for now making me add a new project to my insanely long to-do list <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> That is so, so cute!!<br><br>
Second, I'd do a slipstitch on the inside, with the orange (or whatever color you used for the waist tie)

Oh I'm just about to start that one! Did it work up pretty quick? I'm planing on doing it all one color, but I would do what Knittin' in the Shade suggested and use the waist color on the inside.
