I just bought some today. Right now I do a presoak and wash with hot, then a regular wash with cold (small amount of tide) and an extra rinse cycle. Should the tto go in with the prewash or the wash?

I put it in my HOT wash, it will stink up the room, but I find that it doesnt smell as potent after that, and I think it makes hte antibacterial part work better.

Yep, I go cold wash with 1/2 cup of baking soda, hot wash with Tide and 10 drops of TTO (TTO on every other wash or so), 1 extra rinse and then dry for a single cycle. Those with internal soakers get laid out to dry so I don't wear the heck out of them with 2 drier cycles each time.

I had been adding TTO to the 2nd rinse cycle (I do a cold rinse, hot wash followed by a double rinse). After reading this though, I'm going to try adding it to the wash cycle - it sure would be a lot easier!

I add the tto when I am doing a hot wash without detergent. I do that once a week because if I do detergent in every wash I get stink issues, I wash 3 times a week.

Once with a cold wash with a drizzle of detergent, then hot wash with baking soda and 2 extra cold rinses

Once with cold wash, then hot wash with baking soda and a few drops of TTO

Once with a cold wash, then hot wash with 1/2 cup detergent and that seems to be working out my stink issues.

I hate the smell of tto but if it works I deal with it!
