Hi all, I'm new here and hoping to find some help and guidance!

DD is nearly 8 weeks old, so most of her naps are on-the-go at this point while she's in her sling or wrap or otherwise attached to me physically. Once a day, typically in the morning, she'll take a nap that lasts about 45 minutes or so in our bed, while I hurriedly shower and get ready for the day.

I know I have some time before she'll nap regularly/somewhat reliably, but I'm already starting to worry about where she'll nap if we're not out and about. To make matters somewhat more complicated, I currently need the time she naps to catch up on work (I'm going to grad school in September), so I can't nap with her. And when I do go back in September, I'll be out of the house for at least her morning nap -- and her caregiver (nanny at our home) will need to help her nap. Where would you guess she will nap? I can pray that our nanny (still to be found) will wear her, but that remains to be seen and is another huge source of anxiety for me.

Anyhow, if anyone has BTDT, I'd love to hear any and all suggestions and advice!

DS sleeps in his little bed for naps, and sleeps with us at night.

We started using the family bed around 6 months and when Charlie was 7 months he rolled off the bed during a nap. So every morning he naps in our bed while I either nap, read, or use the computer...and in the afternoon he mostly sleeps in the crib. When he was younger (he is now 11 months) my mom or my sister or someone (mostly me) held him through every nap. He sleeps in his crib for the first shift of the night ( from 7:30-10:30ish) then comes into our bed.
I know a lot of people make little nest like type things on the floor of a room.
Good Luck, congrats on the new babe...ENJOY!
We put our mattress on the floor without the box spring and put large throw pillows around the mattress for DS. He stays on the bed for naps and night time just fine. He started napping like that around three months at least once a day and in the wrap the rest of the time. I usually stay with him until he falls asleep and then sneak out of the room to do my thing.

Our dd naps on the bed. Our mattress is on the floor (no boxspring) and when she was younger, we put pillows on each side of the bed. She never rolled off in her sleep. She did crawl off when she started crawling (after she woke up), but never got hurt because it's so low. I know some family bed people do cribs for naps though, so it is up to you.
