My son, Seth (14months), is having surgery on January 3rd and I really want to know the best way to get him prepared the best possible way. He is still nursing and I'll do anything MYSELF, too, to get him ready. Thanks in advance!

Ok...we're using acidophilus and Oregon Grape Root. WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BE DOING???? Can ANYONE answer for us? We only have 16 days left before surgery. I really want to give him the best prep I can.

Hi there

I would give him 1 pellet of Arnica 30 C every 4 to 6 hours after the surgery it helps with pain and recovery. Don't give it before though as its better given afterwards. You could give Rescue Remedy before though (for everyone) best thing is to dilute 4 drops in 1 oz spring water and give 4 drops as needed maybe 3 or 4 times beforehand and as soon as you can afterwards then. It helps with stress, trauma and anxiety. About a week after sometimes homeopathic Nux Vomica 30 C is a good idea to clear the drugs and anesthetic from his system.

Hope this helps. I would take extra Vit C too yourself before and after.

How does the spray rescue remedy compare to the drops? Is it as effective?

I think it is just as effective and easier for children and animals.

Good...Seth can't have any liquids for 3hrs before surgery. Glad to know the spray will work!
