i've asked before about wool and how you fit it under clothes. to my understanding you either buy clothers too big or where them "as" clothes. if you where them as clothes, how does this work? you have a shirt that matches the longies, then you don't put the same longies back on when you change their diapers, do you? if no, then do you change their top everytime you change them. I've seen outfits sold with longies and shorts or covers and i don't understand wool enough to know how this works.

With ds, I would have three or four pairs of longies - last winter we had a black pair, a brown pair and a navy pair. Each pair of longies had more than one shirt that went with it and each shirt could go with more than one pair of longies.

If they don't feel damp, I'll put the same pair back on. But if they feel damp or are soiled after a stinky diaper, obviously I would put on a different pair.

I just make sure I coordinate my wardrobe with the longies as part of it. But I'm that way with clothes anyway. Everything in my closet can be worn with at least three or four other things, depending on what's clean and what mood I'm in.

So that's how I do it, but I'm sure others have opinions as well.

i'm happy you shared. the main reason i ask, is b/c i'm thinking of recycling sweaters as many people have talked about, and they all have crazy patterns and they don't match each other at all to interchange. just curious how this works for others.

This is what I do too. If they feel "humid," then I change them out with another pair. I'm not crazy about everything being perfectly matched anyway, so there are lots of things that can go together if they need changing. I recommend some wool interlock pants too, to go with your recycled stuff. Interlock is usually in solids, so you can make some basics if you want. Good luck!
