I'm with charmarty - just on laundry. It's ok to get on your hands, just wash them off afterwards. It gets my laundry cleaner and helps prevent the powdered soap from sticking to the clothing. It doesn't disinfect or anything, but it helps like soap to clean in a natural way. If you look at a box of it in the grocery store, it gives a bunch of uses like:
