The time when single parenting sucks the most is when I and/or we are all sick.
My kids are pretty in tune and for the most part if I am REALLY sick, they get it and help each other and let me sleep when I need to. Although it is rough when they still think I'm functioning okay and I'm feeling lousy.
I keep everything simple. I even order food in when I'm really in trouble. I try to rest and take a bath -- even though they come in the bathroom and bug me, it's still somewhat relaxing.
