How do you know if it's Period or m/c bleeding?

I had a missed mc and d&c on March 17th and it's been over 4 weeks since then. I thought the bleeding/spotting was ending early last week since it almost reduced to nothing. However the light bleeding started last Wednesday and I'm suspecting whether it's my first period after mc.

Has anyone bled after mc all the way into period? How do I know if it's period or post d&c bleeding?
