I'm not a fan of antibiotics, but i believe in this case my DS really needs them right now.
He loves to take things like ibuprofen that are sweet, but I've tried twice now to give him the antiB and he's really fought me.:
Any ideas on how to get my 13mo to not fight so hard?

At that age the best I could do was get a long syringe type medicine dropper and stick it way in the back of her throat. Also, only do a little at a time so if he spits it back up, he doesn't spit it all out.

Good luck and hope your little one is better soon!

My friend who's a pediatric nurse said sometimes they take the nipple part of a bottle, put the meds directly in it, and then stick it in the baby's mouth. My babe, who's never had a bottle, thought it was a real novelty and sucked away. Might work once or twice.
good luck,
can you get the antibiotic that's powder so you can mix it with juice or milk? That's the only kind I have been offered when she needed them and she never even noticed it was in there.

Can you get it flavored? My ds usually will suck it out of the syringe. Otherwise, I just aim the syringe to the back of his throat towards his cheek.
