I want to make my ds's some felt play food for Easter. They're getting a wooden play kitchen for Easter, and I want some nice food for them to use with it. Are there any good websites with patterns or tutorials? Is it something that's just sort of self taught? I mean,if I go out and buy felt, where do I start?<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"> I saw a link on here to some sushi made by a lady in Japan! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/jaw.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="dropjaw"> Incredible!!! I would love to find some links that show step by step how to do something along those lines.

I'm making it up as I go along <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> some things have turned out better than others.<br><br>
I've made the strawberries and cream form the cake tutorial above which turned out well. Also flat things like fried eggs are easy to start with. I also used felt to cover a couple of empty film canisters. I out a little rice in first and embroidered S and P on the felt for salt and pepper shakers.
