I am in

with my wool doublers/liners. They have given an extra boost that I needed for nighttime, and they are so trim. Highly recommend them. But I was wondering, how you guys wash yours??

I have washed them with eucalan so far, but then I read something recently (probably here) that you shouldn't use any lanolin...because you don't want it to repel any moisture, you want it to absorb as much as it can. So what is the verdict on this? I have several that need washed today, but I wanted to clear this up! LOL

Mine are homemade and I wash and dry them with the diapers.

I wash mine in the sink with wool wash. I just rinse them when I'm done.

Are they felted? If so, you can probably just wash them with your dipes. If not, you will want to wash them without lanolin - use baby shampoo.

You can use them two ways.

1- to repel so that they cause your doubler to absorb to maximum capacity in which case you would want to hand wash and lanolize them.

2- to absorb in which case you want to felt them and can machine wash and dry them though this will cause them shrink a TON and I mean a TON.

I prefer using them to repel, I find (for us) they work better this way.
