These 2 will be 28 months apart or so. I'm a little freaked out because I *wanted* a 3+ year spacing, but I'm sure DD will be just fine.

Just wondering how far apart other's will be and if it was your optimal timing or a bit unexpected.

This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise! So my timing is not the way I wanted it to be. i was going to TTC when my youngest was about 5. We were going to be in a better financial postition then, and I wanted to be as fit and healthy as I could be, and to have worked out the issues I have had with my previous births... but, nevermind!

There will still be quite a large gap between my youngest and the new baby though - 3 years 6 months. That is the biggest gap I have ever had with my children. My dd will be 7 yrs 3 months, DS1 will be 5 yrs 8 months and DS2 3 yrs 6 months. It scares me a bit that I will have a 7 year old! I was hoping for a girl for my dd, since she already has 2 brothers, but the age gap will be so big between them i doubt they will have that much in common. I was just talking to my DP about it this morning, saying that DD will be 10 by the time the baby is the age DS2 is now.

This will be the biggest gap so far, at 3 years, 1 month (or so), or 37 months. My other kids are 26 mo apart, and then 32 months.

I totally get that! We were supposed to wait until DH *finished* nursing school, which he started January. So I'm right there with you on the stress (and the previous birth issues). But I'm sure things will work out. Just gotta do some strict financial planning over here.

My sisters are 7 and 11 years younger than me and we are all best of friends, and always were growing up.

Ditto on the surprise factor and needing to make some quick changes here...but DD and this babe will be almost 3 years apart. Nice gap I think

Wow- I think I have the biggest gap so far. DD will be 8 when this baby comes. We do not plan on spacing the rest of our kiddos so far apart, but life does throw craziness into the mix. So much for planning.

I had DD when I was 17, so I'm still a youngish mom at 25 now. I really feel sad that DD will be so far apart age wise from her siblings, but she really doesn't seem to mind. She is so excited to be a "little mommy".

ours will be about 21 months apart, which is pretty much according to plan. we wanted to get pg when DS was about one (we did at 13 months!), so our kids would be close in age. i grew up with my brother close to me and love it, and DH grew up without siblings close in age, and felt he missed out. we can't wait for DS to have a little playmate, even though we're prepared for the fact that they might not get along perfectly!

Mine will be 2 years 8mo. apart. There was a stillbirth in between at 32 weeks last time so it would have been 18mo. My daughter and son are 18mo. apart and I love it. I hope to not have such a large gap in the future.
My first daughter and son are 23 months apart, which worked out perfectly and I love how close that they are. This baby and my son will be between 21 or 22 months apart depending on when exactly they come. This will also be perfect spacing as well. I am always surprised when people make a big deal how close my children are in terms of spacing, none of my children were accidents. We planned this, and are very happy with how close my children are going to have the opportunity to be. :

My dd will be 26 months when this baby arrives. Thats perfect for me. I always wanted my kids close enough to be playmates but far enough apart to have a life of their own.

DD will be 3 1/2 when the new bean is due. We figured somewhere around 3 year spacing, but weren't financially/work and house-ready 6 months ago. It's still not ideal, but it feels pretty manageable now.

DD1 and this baby will be 19 months apart, the closest yet. It is the smallest gap yet, and hard in the beginning, but my children are good friends and the oldest has been very helpful (when he feels like it lol)
