I'm getting tired of the "two inches forward, one inch back" shake method. Anybody come up with a better way? And please don't suggest...gasp, touch them!!!

Are you using a wet pail? Gosh I'd have no idea how to do that one.<br>
I do the dry pail method... and have a washable liner. I just shake them in and toss the liner on top.... real easy. No touching involved.

I have a top loader and I touch each one before putting it in the washer <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hide.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hide">: I pull it out of the pail liner and undo snap ins, check velcro , and pull inserts out of pockets.I just wash my hands afterwards.

I also have a front loader with a dry pail method and yes, I'm also a toucher;o) It's just pee and poo. Someones got to do it! LOL

I dry pail and I use rubber gloves to sort through them, makes it a lot easier and i can go through his poo to make sure he isnt eating strange things like stples(which may sound weird but he has eaten WHOLE sunflower seeds and beads)

Thought I would add that the ones I am touching don't have poop on them.That is all rinsed off right away with the mini shower.Hopefully I seem less gross now :LOL

i do a dry pail and pull them out and throw them in by hand too. however, i rinse all of my dipes in cold water before they go in the pail, so by the time it's time to wash they are just really wet from the water. there is no smell either. i always scrub my hands afterwards, but i too figure, it's just dirty dipes and MY GIRLS' dirty dipes at that!!!!!!

I do the same thing! I like to make sure things are all shaken out and separated so that things get clean. I thought I was the only one that did that :LOL. I figure I touch them when I change them and then I wash my hands, what's the difference when I go to wash 'em.

I do all my unstuffing and separating at each change, washing my hands in wipe solution, and then I take a reeeaaally wide mouthed wet bag, put the lips inside the machine openning and push from the back of the bag until the bag is empty & then put the bag in and go.

I would either just grab them out of the pail, toss them in then wash my hands....OR remember to put the diaper pail liner in the pail so all I had to do was pull the liner out and dump the diapers in the washer that way <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">

I just put the bag into the washer and then shake until all of the dipes are out and thrw the liner on top of em all.

When our washer broke I used one of those industrial ones and it was disgusting! To get them all in I had to pile them up, I couldn't just shake them in or they would have fallen right back out. The smell was horrid!

I have a front loader and a dry pail. I put on disposable gloves (like Doctors use) to touch them. Somebody should make cloth gloves to use when touching cloth diapers. They could be lined with PUL to keep them waterproof, and they could just be thrown into the wash, too. Hmmmm.

I do the same thing - but I have a front loader. I'm a freak, the touching doesn't bother me - I like to make sure all the snaps are undone and that the liners are out so they get nice and clean. Just wash my hands real good after!<br><br>
I think a bag liner would help you if you can't touch them though - just empty the bag into the front loader.<br><br>
