I hadn't given circ much thought until a good friend of mine had her first son (my son came 8 months later) and did not circ. She had a homebirth too. It got me thinking and it got dh and I discussing. I really think that had it not been for her we would have circ'd as that is what dh wanted and I didn't feel strongly about it at that point.

6 years later she has her second son. With a different father. In a hospital. They circ'd at 3mos of age.

Yes.

She did not want it done. Not only did he (and his family) insist, but he made HER schedule the appointment and had his BROTHER go in with the baby since she refused and he was working. WTF? Needless to say he's not my favorite.

OMG! I would have told him if he wanted to do it so badly, he could take the time off of work to take the baby in, and he was changing all diapers from here on out (dh doesn't like diaper duty, so it would be enough for him to say "nevermind!")

How could he make his wife schedule a appt ? That guy seems pretty possieve & controlling i say she should have left as soon as she got pg from him.

I'm curious why could a brother be able to bring a boy in the circ area when a mom don't show and the father to me that don't seem like smart medical stuff.

They're still together and have had another baby since then. Luckily, it was a girl.

Technically, no, he did not MAKE her schedule it. He was just an a-hole about it and harassed her until she did it. She went to the appointment, but would not go into the room (but the brother did).

I'm so disappointed in her.

I've only met him a couple of times and he is controlling. We got into an argument about carseats and he's a piece of work.

Oh, okay, I'm going to be TOTALLY 'cold' (?) here and say it how I see it: I would say to her that she's a total jellyfish (though the word I *want* to say is gutless!) and a hypocrit and that I've lost respect for her from now on. That's just f-up, yo!
