nak

my ds3 is only 7 mo., we ebf, cosleep and i nurse 2 kids all night bc i am tandem nursing, just started a few nibbles of solids and w/ my prev. kids my af returned when they were 21 months (still BF at that time).

well, my q is how likely is it that i could be fertile now? dh and i have had a couple of oops moments in the past couple of wks and having another baby is not an option for us.

in fact we are looking into a vas for him and bc of our irresponsibility the past couple of times we will be using a barrier method until the vas.

i am not too worried bc i don't think i am ovulating, as in i have no signs of ovulation, but i would be devastated if i got pg now (we are satisfied w/the size of our brood but that's not the main reason, it's that my ds3 is only 7 mo. and my milk always dries up w/pg, i would be devastated if i wasn't able to give him enough nourishment and had to give something else).

anyway, thanks for your opinions!

It is diffrent for each woman. With my first I didn't get my first PPAF until 21 mo and my LO was only nursing twice a day. I am now 12mo PP with my 2nd and he sleeps thru the night and is only nursing about 6 times a day and still no PPAF. We don;t use any protection but I am pretty sure I am not ovulating any time soon. I was hoping to get pregnant again soon.

I know that i have ovulated before return of af on 3 occasions, after ds1, ds2 and after my mc.

I guess my question is how likely is ovulation for several months before af returns, not just the 1 or 2 months before?

Does that make more sense?
