I know that it says 12 months. But is that kinda like "change your air filter every month"? I have a freezer full and I would hate to just dump it all out!

I didn't have a large stash, but I tossed mine at 12 months b/c I just didn't want to risk it and really had no use for it as I was home all the time.

I thought about making soap with it but never got around to getting lye.

I'm not sure but I know I was planning to donate to a milk bank in Northern California and they said they would take my milk that was over six months old (not in a deep freeze.)
