I cant remember with my DS lol - But I remember thinking 'when will this end' because I was leaking waterfalls! lol....Breastpads SUCK. I am going to try the lilipads (sp?) next time around (wonder if they sell those in your country of origin- probably! hehe)...

So I thought I would make a poll to see how long it took everyone to stop...leaking! hehe

Ive allowed mulit choice as some of you have had more than one child - and you may remember when you stopped leaking with them! hehe

Excessive leaking stopped at 4.5-5 months. I voted at 6 months because DD is now 6 mo and I can go to bed without a bra!! I still have little drips here and there but the faucet is about shut off.

I voted after 5 months as that's when I stopped soaking through breastpads (and sometimes clothing too). I onlly rarely have small leaks first thing in the AM after my supply goes up again from having my period and my dd is 10 months.

My ds just turned 6 months and I am showing no signs of stopping the leaking. I still soak through a couple pairs of breast pads a day and at night if I fall asleep while ds is eating we all wake up in a puddle. I'm curious to see when others stopped leaking because I sure am hoping I do soon!

I voted "I never leaked" but technically I did leak once. It was the night my milk came in. I've never worn breast pads. DD is 3 months.

I leaked the first week - panicked and ordered several boxes of breastpads off of Amazon - aaaaaaaaand stopped leaking almost immediately. Still have no idea what to do with those 90 breastpads I have lying around.

I only leaked occasionally. Sometimes at night, when he would cry in the beginning weeks, thinking of sweet ds, or one boob would leak while he's nursing off the other side....but after about 2 months the leaking stopped completely.

I still leak at almost 5 months and don't think it will ever stop because it only happens when I have a let down. So, only when I'm nursing do I leak. I can take the pads out when I'm not nursing.

I'm still soaking through 3 sets of pads a day and 2 at night at 4 months. I think it might be because I had my nipples pierced and took them out when I was 8 months pregnant. The milk comes POURING out of the holes. Do you think this will affect the leaking? Will it EVER stop?

I thought about lilypads, too, but a LC told me they are not good for your breasts because they don't allow for airflow. Not sure if this is true, but something to consider. I leak less now, so I'm able to use wool pads instead of disposables. I got some nice one's from jillian's drawers.

I still had to wear pads when I returned to work (dd was 16m and we were still nursing)....I think around 2y it stopped (that's when my cycle returned as well).....but she nursed through my pregnancy until about 32wks and I still had milk at that point (and leakage) until ds was born and we picked right back up.

I put they never stopped because though I stopped wearing breast pads at three months or so, every time I nurse on one side and my milk lets down, the other side leaks.

I just stopped caring.
